North Lakes is an exciting and burgeoning locale in the Moreton Bay Region, north of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. According to the 2016 census it has a population of over 21,000 people. However, with the rapid growth the area is seeing, the population is likely to far exceed that figure, now! The suburb was initially part of Mango Hill but that official status was changed (“degazetted”) in 2006 by the Department of Natural Resources. Further, its name is derived from the estate development agency that carried out the first works on the suburb.

It is located close to Lake Eden right behind Lochside Drive. It is ideal for a picnic with your family and also an awesome play area for kids. The park can also be used to set up barbecues.
Lastly, there is Lake Eden, which is situated close to North Lakes Westfield Shopping area. This park is suitable for picnics, a small family gathering because of its ambience and a romantic stretch with your special person. It is also a good spot for bird watching.
